We are located in the Alaska Junction district of West Seattle, 4146 41st Avenue
SW. Our studio opened for community classes on September 25, 2007. Our
darkwood floors are new, and our Carvin speakers are mounted on the walls for
great sound. Kripalu Yoga, Belly Yoga Flow, and Belly dance can be found at this
studio in an Asian-inspired environment that we know you will love. We use
Huggermugger products, so you know we support the environment and provide
quality yoga products. We have new and professionally installed panels of 6 ft.
tall mirrors and an adjacent 4 ft mirror for our dance students interested in
self-correcting alignment and posture.
Mirrors are covered during yoga classes, to provide a safe and egoless
environment.
Dream Yoga and Dance has a special heart for corporate workers. Knowing
how hard it is to get to a yoga studio, DY&D can come to you. We have a limited
number of noontime yoga slots available. Please contact Imei for drop-in or flat
rate pricing to bring yoga to your workplace.
TRYING TO LOSE WEIGHT? Check out this article in the Seattle Times about the
connection between yoga and keeping off the pounds of "middle age spread". Much research
on yoga is being conducted right here at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.

YOGA JOURNAL published its 2008 study, "Yoga in America".
Did you know 15.8 million adults in America practice yoga, representing a $5.7 billion dollar
industry of classes and yoga products (DVDs, mats, props, etc)? As doctors continue to
recommend yoga for medical conditions and many Americans initiate a yoga practice to
improve their health, yoga is an established mainstay of the fitness world.

A YOGA DREAM? Yes, it is possible. Buddhists have practiced something Westerners
call "Dream Yoga", whereby the conscious and semi-awake sleeper directs and writes the
script of the dream. I learned this type of waking-sleep when I was about 12 years old. To read
more about this, and why my info page has adream sequence to help you understand what a
yoga practice can be, click on this link: http: www.yogajournal.com/health/2026?page=2
